Associated Student Body (ASB)
Are you interested in applying for an ASB Appointed Position?
We typically begin the election and application process in February. Check back for more info around that time! If you have any questions, reach out to our Activities Director.
ASB stands for the Associated Student Body. Our 'Student Government' class allows students to be more involved at Newport Harbor High School by advocating for students' interests, planning school activities, and representing the entire student body.
- Students in Student Government plan all aspects of our rallies, dances, and school events; assist with clubs; approve student finances; represent our student body at School Board Meetings and District meetings; host visiting students or groups; advocate for co-curricular programs, and more!
- Being in Student Government requires total involvement in academics as well as being able to manage your time and responsibilities.
