Preparing for the IB Diploma Program

Preparation Timeline

In 8th grade:

• If possible, start studying a second language.
• If possible, enroll in honors English.
• Do your best in all of your classes.

In 9th grade

• Start or continue studying a second language.
• Take a visual or performing arts class.  This is a UC requirement.  Get it done now so you'll have more options later.
• Consider taking health as an extra class or online over the summer.

In 10th grade

• Start or continue studying a second language.
• Take an AP History class.
• Consider taking health as an extra class or online over the summer.

As soon as possible: contact NHHS's IB Coordinator, Alma DiGiorgio to design your IB plan.
